Airports in Medellin

Medellín has two airports that provide easy access to all of our visitors:

Olaya Herrera Airport (SKMD / EOH): Located in the city, it serves as a short-haul intra Colombia commercial, business and private aircraft airport.
José María Córdoba Airport (MDE): Located 30 km southeast of the city, it serves as the International Airport. It has both national and international terminals with connections to 8 countries as shown below. For more information please visit the website here.

Transportation to and from the international terminal

The international terminal is located in the region of Rionegro, 30 km southeast of Medellín’s centre. The average journey time to the centre is 45 minutes. Buses, minibuses and taxis connect the airport to different parts of Medellín. Taxi services can be requested by phone. Taxis are equipped with metres indicating the fare. The fare from the international terminal to the city centre is approximately COP 60,000 (~USD 20).

José María Córdova International Airport terminal currently provides service to over 20 destinations within Colombia, operated by Avianca, Copa Airlines, LATAM Colombia and VivaColombia.

Also, the international flights service in this terminal are operated by Air Panama, American Airlines, Avianca, Avior Airlines, Copa Airlines, Delta, jetBlue, Spirit and VivaColombia.
