Universidad EAFIT and the Colombian Central Bank are delighted to host the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA) and the Latin American Econometric Society (LAMES) annual meetings. The meetings will be held in the EAFIT campus in the city of Medellin in Colombia between November 10th and 12th. 

Medellin is the second largest city in Colombia with nearly four million people in its metro area. It is located in the state of Antioquia, and lies in the Aburra Valley surrounded by majestic mountains. The city is well regarded for its social transformation and has been awarded the most innovative city of the year in 2013 by the Wall Street Journal, nowadays it is recognized for its modernity, growth, educational policies and cultural life. 

Universidad EAFIT (Escuela de Administración, Finanzas e Instituto Tecnológico) is a private university located in el Poblado, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods located in Medellín, Colombia. Our university began operations in May 4, 1960, and it offers nowadays twenty-one undergraduate programs, thirty-three Master programs and five PhD programs, due to a remarkable development in recent years.
